78 Corridor Forum and Launch

March 30, 2015

78 Corridor

Innovate 78 is a campaign geared toward developing the region around state Route 78. The five cities collaborating on the plan are Carlsbad, Escondido, Oceanside, San Marcos and Vista.

Overseeing the plan will be the San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation (EDC).

The campaign features a website, social media channels and its own branding logo- as shown above- among other marketing materials. The EDC has a strategy in place, and the first phase will be driven by the website where companies will be able to utilize the resource to find out everything they need to know about launching a company or career in North County.

All five cities have worked hard since the initial discussions began in 2010 to establish North County as a strong economic region. Each of the five cities is invested in the development of the new brand pledging to contribute funds to design and build the website, print marketing materials and hold public events to promote the brand.

Now there is a feeling of excitement in North County as the time to unveil the plan has arrived and the region’s identity is set to ignite through innovation, culture, businesses, and people.

The campaign will launch Tuesday, April 07, 2015 at Cal State San Marcos.
