BizAir begin flights from Carlsbad to LAX
June 12, 2015
BizAir Shuttle will offer roundtrip flights between Carlsbad and LAX beginning June 18th. Initially, departures will be twice daily, but plans to expand the service to seven roundtrips are in the works. BizAir’s service replaces the flights discontinued by United Airlines a few months ago when they replaced their fleet with planes requiring a longer runway. In addition to the commuter service to LAX, flights to Las Vegas will be added in July and to Phoenix in August. Besides the obvious convenience for north county commuters, BizAir Shuttle fares include taxes, no fees for cancellations, changes, baggage or Wi-Fi, which is available on most flights. Passenger capacity is 30, but BizAir’s planes are Embraer and Dornier jets, not turboprops, making for much smoother and quieter air travel than previously available with United’s fleet.
