Business Academy a Success!

For the third consecutive year, the City and Chamber have partnered to create a business academy for anyone interested in starting a business or learning more about being a business owner in Carlsbad. The agenda included an introductory presentation by the Chamber, a presentation of the Village/Barrio Master Plan, and a tour of development services including planning, engineering, building and the front customer service desk. The academy also included a bus tour of the large commercial development projects in the city as well as a stop at the Dove Library for a quick briefing on free resources available. The afternoon included lunch with the Fire Chief Mike Davis, Police Captain Neil Galluchi, a presentation on safety preparedness for businesses, a presentation on economic development activities and concluded with a Q&A session with city council.
