The Federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act approved in 2014, appropriates $72 billion each year through 2020. Want a piece of that pie? Some of those funds are available to local businesses. Connecting with the San Diego Workforce Partnership is one way to access some of that money to train new workers for your business.

San Diego Workforce Partnership administers a number of programs to train workers. If you’re looking at hiring then training new workers, you can get reimbursed with up to 50% of a new hire’s hourly wages for on-the-job training. If you’re looking at training to hire employees, you can get reimbursed up to 50% of the costs associated with a customized training program.

Today’s workshop was held at the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the San Diego Workforce Partnership as part of the city’s commitment to ensuring Carlsbad businesses have the resources they need to thrive and grow.
