Position Summary The FTTH (Fiber-to-the-Home) Drop Installation Technician is responsible for installing, testing, repairing, and maintaining fiber optic drop connections from the network distribution point to residential and commercial customer locations. This position performs aerial and underground drop installations, customer premise fiber routing, and service activation while ensuring high-quality workmanship, safety compliance, and exceptional customer service. For more information, please visit https://www.callawaygolf.com ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Serve as the technical owner for all building mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, compressed air, and critical infrastructure systems, ensuring optimal reliability, performance, and regulatory compliance. Develop and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies that maximize equipment uptime while reducing operational risk and lifecycle costs. Lead complex troubleshooting efforts, perform root cause failure analyses, and implement permanent corrective actions for recurring equipment failures. Establish maintenance priorities that support business-critical operations including R&D laboratories, production environments, executive offices, and data center operations. Monitor and optimize performance of HVAC systems including centrifugal chillers, boilers, cooling towers, pumps, air handlers, VAV systems, CRAC units, package units, refrigeration systems, compressed air systems, and associated utilities. Perform engineering evaluations of system performance using trend analysis, equipment diagnostics, and Building Management System (BMS) data. Recommend equipment upgrades, modernization projects, and infrastructure improvements that improve reliability, sustainability, and energy efficiency. Participate in facility expansion projects, capital improvements, and commissioning of new mechanical and electrical systems. Lead asset management activities within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring equipment records, preventive maintenance schedules, work orders, and spare parts inventories remain accurate and optimized. Analyze maintenance trends and equipment history to improve PM frequencies, maintenance effectiveness, and equipment reliability. Maintain comprehensive documentation including equipment specifications, as-built drawings, maintenance procedures, and engineering records. Manage third-party contractors performing preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, commissioning, and capital improvement projects. Develop project scopes, conduct site walks, evaluate contractor proposals, and monitor contractor performance to ensure quality, safety, schedule, and budget compliance. Support long-term capital planning by evaluating equipment condition, forecasting replacement timelines, and developing lifecycle cost analyses. Perform routine inspections of central plant equipment, mechanical rooms, rooftops, and critical infrastructure to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation. Identify operational risks, equipment deficiencies, and regulatory compliance issues while implementing corrective actions. Maintain mechanical rooms, equipment spaces, spare parts inventories, and maintenance tools in accordance with best practices. Support emergency response activities for critical infrastructure failures including HVAC outages, plumbing failures, electrical interruptions, and environmental incidents. TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities) Advanced ability to diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, controls, and HVAC system failures using engineering principles and root cause analysis. Strong understanding of predictive maintenance methodologies, vibration analysis, thermal diagnostics, equipment trending, and reliability-centered maintenance concepts. Experience interpreting control sequences, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, piping diagrams, and construction documents. Proficiency with Building Automation Systems, CMMS platforms (Maximo preferred), Microsoft Office, Power BI, and facility analytics tools. Skilled in fabrication, piping installation (copper, PVC, steel, iron), welding (preferred), and precision measurement techniques. Ability to safely operate forklifts, scissor lifts, aerial lifts, and other maintenance equipment. Skilled in the following: centrifugal chillers, boilers, cooking towers, closed loop systems, air handling units, package units, VAV systems, CRAC units, refrigeration equipment, air compressors & dryers, BMS. Ability to safely operate forklift and scissor lift and working on a ladder. Ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, as-built drawings, operations and maintenance manuals. Proficient in MS Office, CMMS, Power BI, BMS, and other relevant software tools. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school diploma or GED is required, technical degree is preferred Valid driver’s license is required Minimum 8 years of progressively responsible experience maintaining commercial, industrial, manufacturing, or R&D facility infrastructure. Minimum 5 years of advanced experience supporting complex HVAC and central plant systems. Vocational training certificate in a related field (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Controls) is preferred Experience leading infrastructure projects, contractor management, and equipment lifecycle planning preferred. EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification is preferred SMA, FMP, or CFM Certification is preferred OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 is preferred Physical Demands Regularly lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
