Manufacturing Week

Manufacturing Week is coming to San Diego beginning Oct. 2. Manufacturers in Carlsbad can be a part of the action by hosting tours for the public, students or organizations. It’s a great opportunity to tell your story to audiences that aren’t aware of what you do and how you do it. Sign up here to host a tour and show people what modern manufacturing looks like and impress the next generation of skilled workers.

On Oct. 4, MiraCosta’s Technology Career Institute will host a day-long Networking and Manufacturing Resource fair, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Manufacturers can get tables at the resource fair to engage with students and others looking for a career in manufacturing. There’s also a reception starting at 5 p.m. Register here to host a table or attend the MiraCosta event.

The MFG Day Breakfast and Company Showcase brings the week to a close on Friday, Oct. 6, put on by the San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation. Breakfast is from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the Liberty Station Conference Center. You don’t want to miss this opportunity to network with your peers. Sign up here to attend the breakfast and showcase.

In the city’s latest business survey, nearly 10% of companies surveyed said that they manufacture in Carlsbad. It’s time to let the region know the wealth of products that are #MadeinSD. Join the movement.
