Procurement Coordinator for Medical Devices The Procurement Coordinator position is responsible for planning and sourcing activities required to assure continuity of supply. The Procurement Coordinator position aids with inventory fulfillment by assisting Procurement with activities that include receiving Purchase Orders, maintaining stock, communicating with vendors, creating, and placing compliant purchase orders according to internal procedures and ISO standards. Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities Provides a wide variety of purchasing and planning cross-functional support related to pricing and vendor research, supply planning, supplier liaison, quality assurance, and negotiations for Avante Health Solutions businesses. Acts proactively and applies purchasing concepts, techniques, knowledge, and processes to detect potential issues, anticipate solutions, and solve problems. Assists with Avante Health Solutions purchasing and maintaining sufficient stocking levels. Communicates and works effectively across functional groups in patient monitoring, inventory, shipping and receiving, quality assurance, sales operations, accounting and finance, and other operational teams. Collaborates with inventory and parts identification team to determine compatible part numbers and alternative options for parts not available in in-house inventory. Creates and updates stock identification and pricing to ensure accuracy. Receives Purchase order shipments and processes purchase receipts of incoming shipments. Manages the receipt process of the equipment by working closely with the Purchasing Manager, Inventory, Quality team and Technicians to confirm all incoming units are tested and/or the correct item ordered. Allocates equipment/parts/cables to the orders associated with purchase orders and communicates any discrepancies with Purchasing Manager upon shipment arrival. Assists with receipt of Patient Monitoring Procurement items into inventory and guidelines throughout the testing process. Manages the Return PO Shelf and insures that return item deadlines are met. Coordinates procurement of essential supplies/tools needed with service and shipping departments. Assists the inventory team in reconciling inventory discrepancies, adjustments, and/or inventory counts. Maintains and reviews Testing Sheets from Service department and documents and relays all information to Purchasing Manager. Maintains and ensures accuracy and integrity of all related data in the Company’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (i.e., Acumatica) Complies with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements per ISO:13485 2016 standards and the Company's Quality Management System Demonstrates success and a passion for learning new technologies within the company. Identifies improvement opportunities to processes and offers applications and solutions to promote optimal efficiency and cost. Works professionally and efficiently with all levels within the organization. Adheres to all company employment policies and safe practices. Performs other duties as assigned. Experience/Training/Education High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.
